The girls of Qompi Rugby met Buenos Aires.
After crossing the 14-hour trip that separates us from the Namqom neighborhood in Formosa, the girls entered the wonderful facilities of the National Sports Development Center in Ezeiza where they received from the Foundation team, the sportswear they would use during the tour and which was donated by the companies Joma and Seguros Rivadavia.
The surprises would come immediately, as we finished the lunch we went to the Newman Club in Benavidez to watch the Jaguars training and, in addition to seeing their idols in action, they were able to enter the field, greet them and take pictures. On the occasion, Brenda Camacho, captain and referent of the team, gave her captain, Jerónimo De la Fuente, on behalf of the Foundation and the Formosan club, the shirt of the "Encounter for Peace between Argentine and British veterans" that Rugby Sin Fronteras disputed in London in 2015.
In the afternoon, and with emotions to the surface for having met their idols, we enjoyed a fun photo session with our friend and historical photographer of the Foundation, Gonzalo Prados and we finished the first day of the tour, with a closing to pure rugby with the Naval Rugby Center team that received the girls with all their love and entertained them with an unforgettable third time.
After the intensity of the first day of the tour, we shared, on Wednesday, May 1, a day of "team work" coordinated by the founder of Rugby Without Borders and holistic coach, Juan Bautista Segonds. Through different activities and games we work on trust, leadership, communication and teamwork.
In addition, the girls of the program of "Young Leaders" of González Catán with whom they shared a delicious barbecue made by our volunteer Alejandro Mendoza to end with a fun party all together and mixed and to which members of the team of the Foundation also joined.
Of traveled by the city
On the third day of the tour, the girls experienced a very nice surprise: a self-makeup course given by the Fundación de los Colores team, prior to what would be their first visit to a cinema. For this we went to the incredible rooms of the Village Recoleta, where they invited us to see the emotional Disney movie, Dumbo.
We toured the area of the Recoleta Cemetery and the downtown Buenos Aires, passing through the Casa Rosada, the Cathedral and the historic Cabildo. In the evening, we were greeted at the "Mostaza" hamburger in Puerto Madero, where we all shared a fun dinner together.
The objectives of the team
The last day of the tour had as its epicenter a personal empowerment workshop coordinated by the wonderful team of ontological coaches of the Ontological Professional Coaching School Foundation.
In the opportunity, the girls learned the importance of establishing objectives in their personal and sports lives; and define the actions to achieve them. They also agreed on the objectives to be achieved as a team in the coming months, with the respect, companionship and team synergy as engines to reach them.
After an emotional closing with the entire Rugby Sin Fronteras team, the girls started to return to their home to continue with more strength with the game of life that they have to face every day.
